ICU RN Travel Contract

Overview

Unit Summary

• Critically ill medical/surgical patients, including sepsis, cardiac arrest, cardiovascular disease, respiratory failure, overdose and withdrawal, post-op surgical care, gastrointestinal bleeding, end-of-life/comfort care, and COVID-19 complications
• Split ICU with 12 beds total
• Typical staffing ratios: 1:2 for higher-acuity patients and 1:3 for lower-acuity patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIH Stroke Certification
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam

Compliance and Start Requirements

• Full compliance required to start on time
• Maximum RTO: 7 days
• Background check must be complete before start
• Education verification of related degree required
• Photo ID required
• Skills checklist within 12 months
• Verification of most recent employer required
• 2 clinical references required
• Work history verification required

Health and Screening Requirements

• Physical exam
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray
• TB questionnaire
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation
• Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination
• Negative 10-panel drug screen
• Flu vaccine or declination

Scheduling Notes

• One major holiday must be worked if it falls during the assignment; two major holidays require working both; three major holidays require working two

Additional Notes

• Orientation hours are non-billable and depend on contract length
• Compliance delays can push the start date back by 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling
