PICU Travel Nurse

• Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• Night shift, 3x12 hours
• 36 hours per week
• Scheduling period is 4 weeks
• May be placed on call for regularly scheduled shifts
• Minimum weekend requirement: 3 weekend shifts plus a Friday day shift for day travelers or a Sunday night shift for night travelers
• Travelers do not self-schedule

Unit Details

• 24-bed mixed-acuity unit
• Expected to work across the acuity spectrum
• May be assigned as a rover/task nurse on inpatient units, including NICU, Labor and Delivery, and adult acute care

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of pediatric care experience
• BLS
• PALS
• Epic charting experience
• First-time travelers are not accepted unless they have 3+ years of PICU experience
• Pending license accepted; if not in hand at submission, start will be booked 6 weeks out
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS
• High-acuity pediatric care experience

• Government-issued photo ID
• Background check
• Education verification
• State-specific registry search
• Drug screen
• References from work within the past 2 years
• Annual skills checklist
• Physical exam
• Fit test
• TB screening or chest x-ray
• Tdap/Tetanus vaccination
• MMR immunity or vaccination
• Varicella immunity or vaccination
• Hepatitis B titer or declination if non-reactive
• Flu documentation or declination
• COVID documentation, exemption, or declination
• Eye exam if assigned to the OR
