Employment Details

• Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 11 AM - 7 PM (shift may change during interview)

Job Requirements

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of OR experience with travel, or 3 years of OR experience without travel.
• Licensure:

  • Must have a Tennessee or compact license at the time of submission.
• Distance Requirement:

  • Must live at least 100 miles from the facility.
• Call Requirement:

  • Must be willing to take call (details to be discussed during the interview).
• RTO Restrictions:

  • Cannot have both Memorial Day and 4th of July off.

Certifications Required

• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA or ARC only)
• BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA or ARC only)
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA or ARC only, required for specific units)
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (required for specific units)
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course (preferred for ER)
• EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring (required for L&D within 2 years of start)
• NIH Stroke Certification - Required for all RNs, except at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam - Required for Case Managers
• Fit Mask - 3M N-95 fit test required
• Flu Vaccine - Required prior to start (seasonal)
• COVID-19 Vaccination - Preferred, not required

Health Documents

• Physical Exam - Required within 1 year of start, expires annually.
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray - Required within 1 year of start, updated annually.
• Drug Testing - Negative 10 Panel Drug Test required within 30 days of start date.

Background and History Checks

• Background Check - Must include statewide, county, federal searches, and education verification.
• References - Two recent professional references required.
• Education Verification - Required, diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu.

• Dress Code: Specific scrub colors required for different roles.
• Photo Badge: Must meet strict guidelines for submission.
