Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg (Nights)

Location: Bay City, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours per Day: 12 hours

Job Description

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and monitor condition trends throughout the hospital stay.
• Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications, including IVs.
• Manage wound care and specialized equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on post-surgery care, medication schedules, and discharge instructions.
• Recognize early signs of medical deterioration and take prompt action to stabilize patients before emergencies occur.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• Facility uses Cerner EMR system.
• Dress code: Navy Blue attire.
• Shift length: 12 hours per night.
