Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) (Nights)

Location: Robbinsdale, Minnesota

Shift: Nights (heavy nights and weekends)

Job Summary

• Provide holistic nursing care across the lifespan, including neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults.
• Perform independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions following standards and competencies specific to the assigned unit.
• Execute the Standards of Nursing Practice: assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Develop and revise patient care plans, coordinate interdisciplinary care, and delegate activities appropriately.
• Participate in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices.
• Promote and improve practice standards and the care environment through leadership and active participation.
• Must be willing to float to Medical ICU or Neuro Trauma ICU as needed.
• Preferred to pick up at least 1 shift per week.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota.
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) experience within the last year.
• Experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Prior travel or per diem nursing experience.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring.
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records system.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a Level I Trauma center environment.

Additional Information

• Dress code: Galaxy Blue Scrubs.
• Nonbillable hours: 4 hours per assignment.
• Strict compliance deadline for credentialing and onboarding paperwork (4 pm Wednesday before start date).
• Must list prior work history with the employer or associated facilities on the resume.
