Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and level of consciousness during post-anesthesia recovery
• Maintain airway and respiratory function
• Administer medications and fluids for symptom and pain management
• Assess surgical sites, dressings, and patient condition for complications
• Document patient records and communicate with the care team

Attendance Policy

• Absences, late arrivals over 20 minutes, leaving early without approval, or not completing a scheduled shift count as attendance strikes
• Three attendance strikes result in immediate termination from the assignment
