Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist

Location: Midland, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Independently or in consultation with a physician, administer medications and perform therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing for the cardio-pulmonary system.
• Respond to arrest and emergency situations, providing CPR and life support.
• Perform respiratory care to evaluate and treat protocol evaluations (25% of duties).
• Deliver medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers (25%).
• Respond immediately to all Rapid Responses, arrest, or STAT situations, maintaining artificial airways, respiration, and cardiac compressions (25%).
• Set up and maintain all oxygen according to protocol (25%).

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of experience required.
• Previous travel experience highly preferred.

Certifications (All Required)

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• NRP
• NBRC

Licensure

• Active Michigan state license required.

Additional Submission Requirements

• Work history relevant to specialty.
• Skills checklist current to within 1 year.
• Two supervisory reference forms from within the last two years.
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates will not be considered).

• Located on a 225-acre wooded campus in Midland, Michigan.
• 324-bed medical center offering primary care, specialty care, 24-hour emergency care, and Level II trauma care.
• Uses Epic EMR system.
