Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- CVOR (3 years of experience)
- CVOR experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred
- Recent travel work history
Role Summary
- Assesses surgical patients before and during procedures
- Develops, implements, evaluates, and documents patient care plans during surgery
- Maintains patient safety and monitors the sterile field
- Supervises room activity, coordinates schedule changes, assembles equipment and supplies, and assists anesthesia as needed
- Communicates with patients, families, physicians, the OR team, and ancillary departments
- Participates in staff development through in-services, meetings, seminars, and continuing education
