Job Opportunity: IR Special Procedure Tech
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)
Shift: 07:00 AM – 05:30 PM (with possible extra late coverage, weeknights, and on-call preferred)
Job Description
- Perform Interventional Radiology (IR) technologist duties with experience in Angiography and Neurointerventional Radiology (NIR).
- Operate equipment from Siemens, Philips, and GE.
- Work shifts include combinations of 2-8 hour, 2-12 hour, or 4-10 hour shifts (days of the week to be determined).
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Experience operating GE Healthcare equipment.
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Documentation of immunity or vaccination for MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) required, either by vaccine records or blood test proof.
- TB screening documentation required within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test), updated if there is a break in service longer than 6 months.
- Physician health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break.
- Criminal background check, Massachusetts CORI, SSN trace, national sex offender check, and exclusion checks must be completed and current prior to start.
- Education verification of highest level achieved required.
- Submission of 2 professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher.
- Completion of a skills checklist within 1 year of submission.
- Submission of a recent professional resume covering the last 7 years of work experience.
- Submission of a professional badge photo (color, plain background, no filters or glasses, taken within last 6 months).
Additional Notes
- Must be willing to provide extra late coverage, weeknight shifts, and on-call coverage as needed.
- No conditional licenses accepted.
- Fit testing cannot be performed onsite; must be completed prior to assignment start.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
This position is ideal for an experienced Interventional Radiology Technician licensed in Massachusetts, comfortable with flexible shift patterns and additional on-call responsibilities.
