Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)

<h2>Job Summary</h2>
<p>We are seeking a dedicated Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional nursing care in various Med/Surg Tele units. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and willing to float between multiple units, delivering high-quality care to diverse patient populations.</p>

<h2>Position Details</h2>
<ul>
    <li><strong>Shift:</strong> Days, Evenings, Nights (Rotating with every other weekend)</li>
    <li><strong>Hours:</strong> 36 hours per week</li>
</ul>

<h2>Unit Description</h2>
<p>This position involves floating throughout the hospital to multiple Med/Surg Tele areas, including:</p>
<ul>
    <li>Davenport 5</li>
    <li>Davenport 7</li>
    <li>Davenport 8</li>
    <li>Davenport 9</li>
    <li>Emergency Department</li>
    <li>PH6/7</li>
    <li>Pingree 4</li>
    <li>Overflow</li>
</ul>

<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
    <li><strong>Experience Required:</strong> Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location; additional experience as a Traveler is preferred.</li>
    <li><strong>Skill Sets Required:</strong> Proficient in telemetry monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting tele strips every 4 hours. Experience with TR Band and ability to manage cardiac drips is essential.</li>
    <li><strong>Clinician to Patient Ratio:</strong> Up to 5:1 during Days and Evenings; up to 6:1 during Nights.</li>
    <li><strong>Patient Population:</strong> Responsibilities include care for Emergency Department border patients, serving as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and caring for non-vented patients who are transfer-ready in the ICU.</li>
    <li><strong>Bed Count:</strong> 371 total beds across various units, with individual unit sizes ranging from 8 to 41 beds.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Technical Requirements</h2>
<ul>
    <li><strong>EMR System:</strong> Experience with EPIC is preferred.</li>
    <li><strong>Certifications Required:</strong> Active Massachusetts RN License, AHA BLS certification. ACLS certification is also preferred.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Additional Information</h2>
<p>This role includes free on-site parking and demands flexibility to work across diverse nursing units. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.</p>
