Job Description

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) Surgical Technician experience in an acute care setting required.
• Preferred specialty experience in Orthopedics, Vascular, Robotics, and Plastics.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist with at least 2 years of experience.
• Surgical Technologist experience within the last year.
• Experience in an acute care setting.

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

• Professional resume/profile submission required.
• Two professional references required prior to first assignment.
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, and National Sex Offender Registry.
• Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
• Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start.
• Employment verification for the past seven years.
• Signed assignment agreement and confirmation of assignment documentation.
• Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, and specialty-specific skills checklist.
• Completion of Surgical Technologist Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation modules prior to clearance.
• Valid driver's license or state ID matching address on file.

Health & Safety Requirements

• Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted).
• Fit test required, preferably completed prior to start.
• Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement.
• TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA testing with annual TB questionnaire. Positive results require chest X-ray within one year.
• Varicella immunity proof or vaccination (no declinations accepted).
• Tdap vaccination valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted).
• Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
• Forward-facing badge photo with white or blue background (no alterations).
