Job Opportunity: Cath Lab RN (Registered Nurse - Cath Lab)

Job Description

Provide direct nursing care following established policies, procedures, and protocols.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning with healthcare team members.
Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.

Required Experience

Specialty: RN Cath Lab

- Ascension EKG Exam (minimum 80%, 2 attempts allowed).
- Ascension Cerner Test-Out (clinical documentation system proficiency).
- Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical skills, updated annually).
Health & Immunizations:
- Influenza Vaccine or mask requirement during flu season.
- MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted).
- Varicella (2 vaccines or immunity proof; no declinations accepted).
- Tdap (valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted).
- Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA (TB testing) with annual updates.
- Fit Test for respiratory protection (preferred prior to start).
- Health Statement or physical exam prior to assignment and updated annually.
- 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter.
Other Requirements:
- Signed Assignment Agreement.
- Completion of onboarding education attestations and modules.
- Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry.
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check.
- Employment and Education Verification.
- Professional references (at least two).
- Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background).

Additional Notes

Flu season mask requirement applies October 1 through March 31.
Some onboarding forms and attestations are completed onsite.
All exams and certifications must be current and meet minimum passing scores.
Background checks and verifications must be updated annually or if there is a break in service longer than 90 days.

This position is suitable for experienced Cath Lab RNs who meet the credentialing and compliance requirements and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, critical care environment.
