Pediatric Sleep Technician
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Job Summary
- Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.
- Prepare patients and equipment for testing; interview patients to assess sleep disorder issues and explain procedures.
- Monitor patients during testing, intervene as needed, and document results.
- Score, interpret, and report sleep study outcomes.
- Maintain, calibrate, and repair testing equipment; report needed repairs or replacements.
- Work requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a potentially stressful environment.
- Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Polysomnographer, including experience within the last year
- BLS Provider credential issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Certification from BRPT (Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists), NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care), or ABSM (American Board of Sleep Medicine)

- Valid Driver’s License or State ID (must not be expired and address must match records)
Onboarding Requirements (Must be completed prior to or at start)
- Signed assignment agreement
- Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and other relevant checks (updated annually or after break in service)
- Employment verification for the past seven years (updated annually or after break in service)
- Education verification relevant to clinical work (within 90 days of start; updated if break in service)
- Confirmation of assignment documentation (start and end dates)
- Skills checklist for specialty (completed within one year of start; updated annually)
Personal Health History (Required for Onboarding)
- MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
- Fit Test: Required for all travelers; preferred before start, can be completed onsite
- Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Health Statement: Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot): Recent testing required with annual TB questionnaire updates; if positive, chest X-ray within last year required
- Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, serological immunity, or verified history; no declinations accepted
- Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted
- 12 Panel Drug Screen: Within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter; retesting required after break in service
