Job Details

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 06:45 AM – 07:15 PM
Patient Ratio:
- ICU status: 1:1 or 1:2
- Stepdown/non-ICU: 1:3

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience working with neonate patients
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Valid Driver’s License

Additional Onboarding Requirements

Color vision test completed prior to start and updated every 3 years
Specialty and skills checklists completed and updated annually
Pre-hire modules and assessments specific to the specialty and facility
Confirmation of assignment documentation upon initial assignment and extensions

This position requires a highly skilled NICU RN with demonstrated experience and certifications specific to neonatal care, along with comprehensive compliance with health, safety, and credentialing standards.
