Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)

Job Description

Schedule: Every Other Week (EOW) or based on department needs; Every Other Hour (EOH) rotating with regular staff
May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed
Must have experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Requirements / Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wisconsin
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Management of Assaultive Behavior (MOAB) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
EPLS (Emergency Pediatric Life Support)
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Health & Compliance Requirements

Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
Fit Test (3M 1860 Regular, 3M 1860 Small, or 3M 1870+), updated annually
Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
Influenza vaccine during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
Varicella immunity proof (two vaccines, serology, or history verified by provider); no declinations accepted
Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted
TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA within required timeframes; if positive, negative chest X-ray within 1 year and annual TB questionnaire
Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
Color vision test prior to start, updated every 3 years

Professional & Onboarding Requirements

Resume/Profile submission required
Two professional references required prior to first assignment
Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 30 days prior to start; updated annually or after break in service > 90 days
Employment verification for past 7 years; updated annually or after break in service > 90 days
Education verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days prior to start; updated if break in service > 90 days
License and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
Skills checklist completed within one year of start; updated annually for specialty
Specialty exam completed prior to first assignment; updated every 3 years (minimum 80% passing score)
Core competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc.) completed within a year of start; updated every 3 years (minimum 80% passing score)
EKG exam completed with passing score of at least 80%; updated every 3 years
Badge photo (forward facing, white or blue background) required

Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
