Radiology Technologist - Lafayette, Louisiana
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
- Weekday and Weekend Call Required
- Experience in Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology required
- Must hold a Louisiana state license
- Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required
- BLS and ACLS (AHA only) certifications required
Required Credentials and Certifications
Licenses & Certifications (Must be current and verified prior to start)
- Louisiana Professional License (Primary Source Verification within 30 days of start)
- ARRT Certification
- BLS (AHA or ARC only)
- ACLS (AHA only)
Personal Health Requirements
- COVID-19 Vaccine (Proof or exemption accepted)
- MMR (Proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination with signed statement)
- Fit Test (N95 mask fit test within 1 year prior to start, updated annually)
- Hepatitis B (Proof of 3 immunizations, positive titer, or declination with required signatures)
- Influenza Vaccine (Required during flu season with medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- TB Test (Negative QuantiFERON blood test within 1 year or 2-step skin test; if positive, MD clearance or treatment proof required)
- Health Statement (Signed within 1 year confirming ability to work without restrictions)
- Varicella (Proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination with signed statement)
- Tdap (Vaccination within past 10 years or declination with required signatures)
- Annual TB Questionnaire (Completed within 6 months of start; if positive, evaluation and treatment proof required)
- Eye Exam & Color Vision (Ishihara Color Test and Snellen Vision test within 1 year prior to start)
Background and Screening
- Criminal Background Check (Completed within 30 days prior to start, including SSN trace, county and national checks, education and employment verification, driving record)
- Drug Screen (Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start)
Competency and Skills Testing
- Skills Checklist (Unit-specific, within 1 year prior to start, updated annually)
- Competency Exam (Passing score of 80% or higher within 1 year prior to start)
- Core Competencies (HIPAA, Safety, Infection Control, etc., passing score of 80% or higher, updated annually)
Additional Professional Requirements
- Resume/Profile (Required for submission)
- HRIS Form (Required for submission)
- Badge Photo (Forward-facing, well-lit JPEG with neutral background)
- Annual Education Packet (Completion required)
This position requires thorough credential verification, up-to-date immunizations and health screenings, and demonstrated competency in radiology technology, including cath lab and interventional radiology experience.
