• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Job Description

• Plan, organize, and conduct all aspects of in-patient nutritional screening and assessment.
• Instruct inpatients and outpatients on diets as requested.
• Teach nutrition classes and diet in-services to staff as needed.
• Responsible for nutritional care of inpatients identified at nutritional risk.
• Must understand the purpose and operation of Nutrition Services.
• Ability to make sound judgment decisions when situations dictate.

Experience & Qualifications

• Previous experience in dietetics required; one year of clinical dietitian experience preferred.
• One year of EPIC experience required.
• Current Certified Dietitian status for Washington State.
• Registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or RD eligible.
• Current Washington State Food Handlers permit.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required Credentials & Compliance (Must be completed prior to or at onboarding)

• Proof of vaccinations or declination for: MMR, Hepatitis B (3 doses), Varicella (2 doses), Influenza (seasonal, with declinations accepted), Tdap (within last 10 years).
• TB Test: One Step Skin Test or TSpot or QuantiFERON within 6 months prior to start; chest X-ray within 5 years if previously positive.
• Annual TB Questionnaire within last 12 months.
• Fit Test.
• Driver’s License or State ID (required for submission).
• Criminal Background Check (7-year county search, SSN trace, national database within 12 months).
• Drug Screen (Rapid 10 panel within 12 months).
• Education Verification (diploma/degree or third-party verification).
• Various Samaritan-specific verifications and checklists including Core Competencies, Skills Checklist, Traveler Checklist, Unit Exam, Resume, Professional References, Agency Attestation, GSA, I9, National Sex Offender Registry, OIG, and SAM (all required within specified timeframes prior to start).
