Job Description

The Procedural Nurse provides healthcare within the RN scope of practice, utilizing a systematic nursing approach including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities include:

Delivering competent healthcare to patients and families.
Ensuring adherence to standards of care and scope of practice.
Completing accurate and thorough documentation of care.
Providing health and wellness education to individuals and groups.
Acting as a preceptor and supporting the development of staff and healthcare students.
Leading initiatives to improve quality of care and clinical outcomes.
Assisting Nursing Supervisor/Coordinator with departmental standing orders.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience.
Passion for Oncology.
Fluent in English (reading, writing, comprehension, speaking).
Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, email, web browsing).
Multicultural sensitivity.
Strong critical thinking and independent judgment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate facts professionally.
Professional, friendly, and helpful demeanor.

Education & Licensure

Required: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing)
Preferred: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
Required Certifications:
- Illinois State RN License in good standing
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
