Location: Miles City, Montana Employment Type: Clinical (non-nursing) Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Variable 12-hour shifts (12 hours per day, 36 hours per week)

Role Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant assists nursing personnel in providing resident care within the scope of their certification, training, and regulations.

Reporting Relationship: RN on duty, Administrative Supervisor, Director of Clinical Care, VP Patient Care Services

Key Responsibilities

• Provides all ADL care, including oral care, grooming, personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, range of motion, ambulation, and dining
• Delivers care according to each patient's individual care plan, with dignity, privacy, and compassion
• Offers choices and encourages patients to maintain independence
• Answers call lights promptly and follows infection control procedures
• Communicates changes in patient condition to the staff nurse and team members, including during handoffs and acute changes
• Records entries on daily flow sheets and documents per policies and procedures
• Assists with wound and skin care, restraints, fall prevention, blood bank, and SCD/Plexi machines
• Uses hospital beds, safety equipment (gait belts, lifts, transfer boards, goggles), and adaptive equipment correctly and keeps them clean
• Reports non-working or unsafe equipment or facility fixtures to maintenance

Required Qualifications

• Valid CNA license in Montana
• CNA experience of at least 1 year
• CNA experience within the last year
• Experience in an acute care setting
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Wound and skin care experience
• Medical unit experience

Physical Demands: Lifting objects over 100 lbs, with frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Role involves standing, walking, sitting, pushing and pulling (100+), lifting, carrying, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, filing, typing, talking, hearing, and color vision.
