Job Overview

• Travel RN position in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
• Location: Pikeville, Kentucky
• Contract length: 8 weeks
• Start date: ASAP
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Guaranteed hours: 48 per week
• Schedule notes: no blocked scheduling; every other weekend and holiday required unless time off is approved
• Float expectations: may float throughout inpatient Med Surg/Tele units and may be asked to assist as an aide if needed
• On-call: not applicable

Required Qualifications

• Kentucky or Compact RN license
• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS
• NIHSS
• EKG test completed during compliance
• 1 year of RN experience in the specialty
• Level I or Level II Trauma experience
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips

Preferred Experience

• Care View/EPIC charting experience preferred

Unit Details

• 340-bed Level II Trauma Center
• Typical patient ratio: 1:6
• Unit bed count varies by assignment, from 15 to 45 beds

Additional Notes

• COVID vaccination required unless a medical or religious declination is approved; if declined, weekly testing is required at the traveler/agency expense
