Location: New York, NY

Job Details

  • Unit: 6 South PICU
  • Start Dates: Weekly start dates, aiming for mid-October (10/13 or 10/20)
  • Shift Times: 11.5-hour day shifts (7:30 AM - 8:00 PM)
  • Schedule: Rotating 3-4-3-4 schedule
  • Total Hours per Week: 40.25 hours
  • Call Requirement: None
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Float Requirement: Yes, to areas within acuity
  • Dress Code: Navy bottom + white top or all white (with matching shoes)
  • Flu/COVID Vaccination: Required, no declinations allowed

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license for New York State (in hand)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Minimum 2 years of PICU experience within the last 3 years (required specialty experience)
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Level 1 Trauma experience
  • Experience in a large academic/teaching hospital setting
  • 2 references from most recent assignment within skill set
  • Willingness to float to appropriate units based on skillset
  • AHA BLS and AHA PALS certifications
  • EMR experience
  • COVID vaccinated prior to start date
  • Completion of required skills checklist matching the order skill set

Additional Notes

  • Interviews required: Voice Advantage Interview + Nurse Manager Screening/Interview
  • Offers valid for 48 business hours after issuance
  • Local travelers receive no difference in rate compared to travel nurses
