Job Opportunity: Cardiovascular Technologist (Cath Lab Tech)
Location: Grand Forks, North Dakota
Employment Type: Long Term Contract (13 weeks)
Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist prepares and supports the Cath Lab for cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring patient needs are met. Responsibilities include performing hemodynamic and control room duties, completing catheterization reports, analyzing invasive and non-invasive tests, maintaining sterile technique during procedures, conducting stress tests, practicing radiation safety, and transporting patients as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Correlate analysis of invasive and non-invasive tests to identify additional intervention needs and report findings to physicians.
- Perform hemodynamic and control room duties with thorough knowledge of equipment.
- Prepare and perform cardiac catheterization lab procedures, including proper setup of supplies and equipment.
- Practice radiation safety to protect staff and patients.
- Conduct and monitor patient stress tests.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support department needs.
Required Certifications and Licenses
- North Dakota Medical Imaging License (must be obtained within 12 months of start date)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- RCIS or RCES certification highly preferred; ARRT certification will also be considered.
Shift Details
- Day shift (early or late start)
- 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts
- 24-hour on-call every 3-4 weekends and 1-2 weekdays
