Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg (Ortho/Neuro Specialty)
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Ortho/Neuro
- Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Requirements: Every third weekend plus 2 Sundays in a 6-week schedule; holidays required
- Call Requirements: No call
- Float Requirements: Float to medical surgical units
Unit Information
- Unit: 6 West Ortho/Neuro
- Number of Beds: 34
- Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 4.5 patients
- Equipment: Alaris Pumps, Pyxis
- EMR System: Epic
- Patient Types: Stroke, hip fractures, back surgeries, seizures, osteomyelitis, cellulitis, medical surgical overflow
Required Qualifications
- License: Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg or Ortho/Neuro specialty
- Skills: Med Surg level of care required; ortho/neuro experience preferred
