Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit: Day Surgery (Preadmission Testing and Surgery Prep)
Shift: Preferably four 10-hour shifts; shifts may vary, including day shifts and on-call as needed

Unit Type: Day Surgery, located across from PACU
Number of Beds: 15
Staffing: Varies; typical day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1-3 sitters
Patient Ratio: 1:2
EMR System: Meditech
Typical Procedures: Recovery care
Floating Areas: Possibly Preadmission Testing
Dress Code: Royal Blue or Hospital Scrubs
Unit Guidelines: ASPAN Guidelines followed
On Call: Required occasionally

Requirements

Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Licenses: Registered Nurse License
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty (Day Surgery or PACU preferred)
Preferred Skills: Experience in Day Surgery or PACU is preferred but not mandatory
Personality Fit: Easy going and pleasant
