Location: Lander, Wyoming
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support.
- Educate patients and families based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
- Circulate during C-sections and assist physicians during deliveries.
- Provide post-delivery neonatal assessments in the C-section suite.
- Maintain fetal monitoring certification and attend STABLE certification classes if offered.
- Follow policies for recovery and care of surgical patients.
- May be required to float to other units as needed for support or sitter duties.
Required Qualifications
- Current Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license.
- Minimum 2 years recent RN experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, Labor & Delivery (L&D/LDRP).
- Experience may include care of OB/GYN patients (post-op hysterectomy), antepartum care, triage, labor and delivery, and postpartum care.
- Certifications required (must be American Heart Association):
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- STABLE certification
- AWHONN certification
- Fetal monitoring certification required every two years.
