Position Details

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Operating Room (OR)
• Number of Beds: 12 OR rooms
• Staffing:

  • 38 RNs (including 6 per diem RNs)
  • 12 benefited techs and 1 per diem tech
• Shift Coverage:

  • Day Shift: 16 benefited RNs including charge nurse, 6-7 OR techs
  • Mid Shift: 4 teams
  • Evening Shift: 1 team
• Patient Ratios: Not applicable
• Equipment: Perioperative equipment
• EMR System: Meditech

Required Skills and Experience

• Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years in specialty (OR nursing)
• Heart Experience: Required for heart room assignments; candidates without heart experience will not be considered for heart room
• Preferred Skills:

  • CNOR certification preferred
  • Experience in specialties such as Robotics, Orthopedics, Eye, GYN, ENT, Plastics, Thoracic, and General Surgery
• Typical Procedures: Neuro, Spine, Total Joint, Gastric Sleeves, Major General Surgery, ENT, Pediatric, Urology, Heart surgeries including CABG and Valve procedures

Certifications and Licenses

• BLS (required)
• ACLS (required)
• CNOR (preferred)
