Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Specialty & Experience Requirements

  • Specialty: CST/ORT (Certified Surgical Technologist / Operating Room Technician)
  • Required Years of Experience: 2 years
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

  • Robotic surgery experience (required)
  • Orthopedic surgery experience (required)
  • Neuro/spine surgery experience (required)

Certifications & Licenses

  • Virginia State License (required)
  • OR First Assist Certification (required)

Work Environment & Unit Information

  • Unit: Operating Room (OR)
  • Number of ORs: 16
  • Staffing: One team per OR consisting of RN, Surgical Assistant (SA), and Surgical Tech on day shift; tapering teams on evening shift
  • Call: Approximately 2 call shifts per week, including weekday nights and weekends (primary and backup)
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1
  • Equipment: Robotics, neurosurgery, general surgery, plastics, urology, orthopedics
  • EMR System: Meditech
  • Typical Procedures: All surgical procedures except transplant and cardiac surgery
  • Dress Code: Hospital-provided scrubs
  • Floating Areas: None
