Medical Lab Scientist / Medical Lab Technician
Location: Tuba City, Arizona
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: Evening shift typically 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (1pm to 12am), Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday (may vary)
Hours per Week: 40
Job Summary
Perform specimen processing, testing, and reporting of test results in compliance with regulatory requirements and policies. Work in a hospital laboratory providing services in chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood bank, microbiology, and clinical microscopy. The laboratory operates 24-hour coverage with rotating day, evening, or night shifts, including weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year.
- Medical Laboratory Technician experience.
- Completion of secondary education or its equivalent, or successful completion of a formal military training program for medical laboratory procedures, a minimum of 50 weeks long, holding the military occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Additional Information
- Orientation occurs every 2 weeks.
- COVID and flu vaccination exemptions may be accepted after submission of a declination form.
- Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start.
- ASCP or AMT certification recognized.
- Prior travel experience is required.
