Role

RN (Registered Nurse) for a Med/Tele unit.

Contract Length

13 weeks

Unit Details

• 25 beds
• Ratios: 5-6:1
• Common patient types include CHF, diabetes, PNA, CKD, and m/s tele
• Tele monitor techs monitor patients; RNs must be able to read strips
• PCTs are present at 12/1
• RT/equipment on the unit includes Cpap, Bipap, and high flow patients
• Kurth tower is all med/surg tele

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• 18+ months of recent Med/Tele experience
• Great communication and time management
• Must be able to titrate Heparin
• RN must be able to read strips

Preferred Qualifications

• Rural hospital experience

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 hours/week or 36/48 hours biweekly
• Scheduling is by manager
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays are required

Floating

• Floats to all med/surg units
• May float to PCU to care for Tele holds prior to transfer

Additional Information

• No call or standby
• Navy blue scrubs
• Unit orientation includes 2 shadow/orientation shifts
• Paragon charting system
• Transitioning to EPIC on Oct 30, 2026
