Job Opportunity: EP Technologist (Electrophysiology Lab)
Location
- Cheyenne, Wyoming
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Monday to Thursday, 4 days per week
- 10-hour shifts (07:00 AM – 05:30 PM)
- Education on Fridays (attendance expected for travelers)
- Call requirements:
- 3 weeknights per month (5:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- 1 weekend per month (Friday to Sunday)
- Call rotation with a 4-person team; travelers expected to participate
- Call response time: 20 minutes
Facility & Environment
- Medium-sized hospital, Level 2 Trauma center
- Cath Lab with 1 suite/lab
- Average 3-4 cases per day
- Steady lab with procedures including ablations (Atrial Fibrillation, flutter, VT), device implants (ICD pacemaker, Bi-V ICD, Watchman), and EP studies
- Sterile environment; preference for nurses with scrub experience in EP lab
Job Duties
- Circulate and monitor during procedures
- Prefer candidates with scrub experience in the EP lab sterile field
- Floating within Cath Lab to assist with circulating and monitoring; no floating to IR
Required Certifications & Skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA certifications only)
- EPIC electronic medical record experience required
- Experience with MacLab/Cardiolab and Biosense Webster mapping systems preferred
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician
- Electrophysiology Technician experience within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
Orientation & Training
- One week of unit-specific orientation after onboarding
Additional Information
- Permanent address must be at least 25 miles from the facility location
- Scrub color and dress code provided by the facility
- Cardiologists are in lab during the day and on half call after hours; off days spent in clinic
