Job Details

Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evenings (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Unit Size: 7 beds (1 heart room, 6 general)
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1
EMR System: Cerner - Surginet
Orientation: 1 week floor-specific orientation
Weekend and Holiday Requirements: Rotate weekends and be on call for weekends and holidays (quantity depends on staff rotation)
Scrub color provided
Equipment: Phillips Telemetry, Draeger ventilators
Support Staff: Nurse aides, surgical techs, anesthesia techs
Anesthesiologists on site: 3
Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy available 24/7
Call available for night shifts
No floating required

Patient Population / Procedures

Experience required with neuro, ortho, robotics, gynecology, urology, spine, and general surgery cases
Common diagnoses similar to Preop except endo IR

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience
Active California RN license
Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Additional Information

Holiday Return to Office (RTO) will be considered but is not guaranteed
