Physical Therapist (Inpatient) - Wisconsin, Rice Lake

Job Overview

• Work setting: Acute Inpatient with potential float to outpatient depending on inpatient census
• Facility size: 33 beds
• Patient load: Average 12-15 patients per shift
• Areas covered: MS-Telemetry & ICU
• Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds

Required Certifications and Licensure

• BLS certification required
• Wisconsin Physical Therapist licensure required

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience post-graduation required
• Preferred 3 years of experience post-graduation
• Prefer inpatient experience but outpatient experience will be considered
• Prior Cerner experience preferred
• Prior travel experience is NOT explicitly required

Work Environment and Team

• Fast-paced, busy environment
• Collaborative team with Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Occupational Therapists (OT) in-house
• Inpatient therapists work more independently but support is available
• Friendly environment with approachable physicians and therapists

Schedule

• 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No weekend or holiday work required

Orientation and Onboarding

• One-on-one orientation with manager starting day one
• Computer-based trainings included
• 1-2 days with a preceptor
• Expected to take a patient independently by day 2 and full caseload by day 3

Dress Code

• Scrubs or business casual acceptable
• Closed-toed shoes required

Additional Notes

• Manage your own inpatient schedule; outpatient schedule is assigned
• Rehab support includes 1 PTA (primarily outpatient), 1 COTA, and 2 Rehab Aides/Appointment Coordinators
• Must clock in and out at the facility
• Candidates living within 80 miles receive a local rate adjustment
• If previously worked at this facility, must have ended employment at least 6 months prior to submission
