Respiratory Therapist

Location: Grand Island, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts, 1 night every other weekend)
Hours Guaranteed: 36 hours per week

Job Description

• Provide general respiratory care across all care areas including pre- and post-surgical units and the emergency department.
• Respond to rapid response and code blue calls.
• Competent in nebulizer administration and ventilator management.
• Must possess knowledge and skills to meet the needs of all age groups.
• Ability to work independently and provide proper patient assessment and treatment recommendations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent relevant respiratory therapy experience.
• Required certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must comply with fingernail policy: artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas.

Additional Information

• The first 13 weeks will be day shifts; if extended, the assignment will switch to night shifts.
• Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius and may not currently be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with certain affiliated healthcare systems.
