Registered Nurse (Psychiatric) - Long Term Assignment

Location: Elmira, New York
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Contract Length: 15 weeks

Job Overview

• Work schedule: Five 8-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM)
• Holidays and every other weekend required; weekend off requests require coverage or prior approval
• Possible floating to a similar inpatient addiction rehabilitation unit
• Will be trained for charge nurse responsibilities
• Uniform: Navy blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Minimum of 2 years of Behavioral Health experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of Centralus Naloxone Train the Trainer Course
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in charge nurse roles

Additional Notes

• Must complete detailed address history for the last 28 years with no gaps for certain state-required forms
• Several onboarding documents and acknowledgments must be completed prior to start (e.g., sexual harassment acknowledgement, parking registration, self-study packet and quiz)
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
