Job Opportunity: RN Post Partum/OB/Labor & Delivery

Location: Traverse City, Michigan
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide care in a high-risk Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) setting
Circulate in the Operating Room (OR)
Postpartum, antepartum, and newborn care
OB triage experience preferred
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
Weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed
No guaranteed hours; overtime available after 40 hours

Required Qualifications

Licensure and Education

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Experience

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) nursing
Postpartum (OB) nursing experience
Obstetrics (OB) nursing experience
Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Certifications

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Certified in Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-FMC)

Additional Information

Core competency exams (OSHA & Joint Commission) required at hire
Skill-specific competencies and self-assessment checklists required
Driver’s license or state ID required

Notes

Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
This role involves working night shifts with variable weekend, holiday, and on-call responsibilities.
Overtime is available after 40 hours per week.
