Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Technician (Travel)
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Description
- Must have Cath Lab experience.
- Required certifications: ARRT and Ohio Radiation license.
- Experienced Radiology tech with skills in sterile handling (SH), vascular, and interventional cardiology.
- Schedule: 6 weeks on a 3-13 hour shift rotation with 8 call days including one weekend of call.
- Duties include scrubbing and monitoring during procedures.
- Experience with Epic and Xper systems preferred.
Required Certifications & Credentials
- BLS (American Heart Association only)
- ACLS (American Heart Association only)
- License/Certificate Verification: Valid permanent professional license required; temporary licenses not accepted.
- MMR: Positive titers within last 15 years or appropriate booster protocol.
- Fit Test: Completed within 1 year prior to start.
- Hepatitis B: Proof of full series, partial series, or signed declination accepted.
- Varicella: Positive titers within last 15 years or appropriate booster protocol.
- Tdap: Proof of vaccination within past 10 years; declinations not accepted.
- Influenza Vaccine: Proof of vaccination from Oct-March or approved medical/religious exemption required; no declinations allowed.
- 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot): Negative test within last 6 months; annual requirement.
- Physical/Health Statement: Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year stating ability to work without restrictions.
Professional Requirements
- UHS I-9 Attestation: Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- UHS Ohio Fingerprints: Ohio BCI&I and FCRA-compliant national criminal background check required. Attestation allowed if fingerprints pending.
- UHS Education Verification: Highest level of education verified; international equivalency required if applicable.
- UHS Employment Verification: Verification of employment within last 5 years through third-party.
- UHS Competency Exam: Must score at least 80%, completed within 1 year prior to start.
- UHS Core Competencies: Includes HIPAA, Joint Commission-NPSG, OSHA topics; 80% passing score required.
- UHS Criminal Background Check Results: Completed within 6 months prior to start; includes SSN trace and national criminal sweep.
- UHS OIG Search: Completed within 6 months prior to start.
- UHS SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC: Completed within 6 months prior to start.
- UHS Drug Screen: 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start; instant drug screens not accepted.
- UHS Module Completion Certificate: Completion of safety and compliance training modules prior to clearance.
Additional Requirements
- Resume including education and work history, 2 professional references within last 2 years, and completed job application.
- UHS Skills Checklist (clinical skill-specific checklist) required upon initial hire.
- UHS Badge Photo: Professional headshot required.
- Driver’s License or State ID (non-expired) required for submission.
Schedule & Work Environment
- 3 shifts per week, each 13 hours long.
- 8 call days during the 6-week schedule, including one weekend.
- Opportunity to pick up extra shifts.
