Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in a Progressive Care Unit setting.
- Shift hours are primarily overnight.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- Minimum of 1 year of Stepdown (Progressive Care Unit) experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Health and Safety Requirements
- Fit Test for respirator use.
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC).
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption/declination (booster required through Sept 2025).
- Proof of MMR vaccination or immunity.
- Hepatitis B vaccination series initiated prior to start.
- Influenza vaccine is optional but recommended.
- 2-step PPD or IGRA TB test; if positive, chest x-ray required within last year.
- Proof of Varicella vaccination or immunity.
- Current physical/health statement confirming fitness to work.
- Current Tdap vaccination or approved declination (declination accepted if no pediatric interaction).
- Respirator evaluation with physician signature required.
Professional and Compliance Requirements
- Signed Code of Conduct form.
- Completed I-9 verification.
- Confidentiality and Information Security Agreement signed.
- Integrity and Audit Services form signed shortly before start.
- Conflict of Interest Disclosure form signed.
- Criminal background check covering federal, nationwide, and county records from the last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start.
- Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma.
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) and OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion checks dated within 30 days.
- Joint Commission CORE exam completed within the last year.
- NSO (National Sex Offender) check dated within 30 days, including statewide check for Michigan.
- System Access Form completed and uploaded one week before start.
Notes
- All required documents and verifications must be uploaded to the credentialing system prior to onboarding.
- Drug screen and license verifications must be current within 30 days of assignment start.
- Specialty competency and skills checklist must be current within one year.
This position is suitable for experienced RNs with PCU or progressive care experience who meet all licensure, certification, health, and compliance requirements.
