X-Ray Technologist (Traveler) - Afternoon/Evening Shift
Location: Olympia Fields, Illinois
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Job Summary
Seeking a licensed X-Ray Technologist with fluoroscopy permit as required by the state. The role requires proficiency with mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment, strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology, and computer skills. Experience in acute clinical radiology is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technician license in Illinois
- Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technician experience within the last year
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Completion of DCI/BVP (workplace violence prevention training)
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Primary source verification of professional license and certification within 30 days of start.
- Driver’s license, state ID, or passport required.
- Drug screening: Minimum 10-panel test including THC (with specific testing protocols for certain states).
- Annual fit test for respirator masks (must be completed prior to start for Illinois locations).
- Immunizations and health requirements:
- COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses plus booster or declination)
- MMR (proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B (3 immunizations, immune titer, or declination)
- Influenza vaccine or declination (seasonal requirement)
- Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
- Tdap vaccine (declinations not accepted in some states)
- TB test within 1 year of start date
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Physical/health statement confirming clearance to work (must be current within 60 days of start).
- National criminal background check within one year of start date.
- Social Security card or passport for identity verification.
- Badge photo (clear headshot with plain background).
- Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation).
- Signed current job description.
- Completion of core competencies exam (minimum 80% score).
- Completion of skills checklist.
- Workplace violence prevention training (DCI/BVP).
- Completion of onboarding education attestation prior to start.
Additional Notes
- Two professional references required at submission, including at least one from a manager or direct supervisor.
- Resume must be current and reflect recent work history at time of offer acceptance.
- Name verification affidavit required if there are discrepancies between credentials.
- Some onboarding documents and attestations are site-specific and must be completed prior to clearance.
