Position Overview

• Responsible for delivering patient care through the Respiratory Care process: assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and efficient patient care and achieve desired patient outcomes.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy
• Prior travel experience required

Certifications & Licensure

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by NBRC
• Active Respiratory Care licensure by New Jersey Board of Respiratory Care
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA)

Schedule & Time Off

• Holiday: Every other holiday off
• Return to Work (RTO): No more than 3 days
• Weekend schedule: Every other weekend / as needed

Orientation & Onboarding

• Completion of full orientation is mandatory; failure to complete results in immediate termination.
• Orientation includes:

  • Virtual Welcome meeting and online HealthStream modules to be completed by Monday start date.
  • In-person classes typically held Tuesday through Thursday at multiple locations.
  • POCT class attendance required (not during orientation week).
  • Unit-based orientation schedule provided by manager.
  • Badge ID appointment must be completed during orientation (photo submissions not allowed); badge required for clock-ins.

Additional Requirements

• Compliance with background checks, drug screening, employment and educational verification, and various health screenings/vaccinations (COVID-19, Hep B, Influenza, MMR, TdaP, Varicella, TB).
• Completion of competency exams and mandatory annual training.
• Adherence to confidentiality and employment attestation forms.

This position is ideal for experienced Respiratory Therapists with prior travel experience seeking a 13-week contract in New Jersey.
