Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Temp Position
Location: Towson, Maryland

Job Description
Under general supervision of a physical therapist, assist patients in reaching maximum physical potential in accordance with state practice acts. Treat patients using appropriate therapeutic interventions and participate in team and interdisciplinary meetings. Demonstrate competency in treating multiple patient populations within the acute care setting, including at least one high-risk patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and alert supervising physical therapist to status changes
- Provide therapeutic interventions to diverse patient populations
- Manage caseload efficiently according to productivity standards
- Use standardized tests to support documentation
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Prioritize and schedule patients effectively
- Navigate electronic medical records (EMR) proficiently
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Maryland
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

- Submission of recent supervisory references (one from the last 6 months and one from the last 12 months)
- Skills checklist specific to the PTA discipline
- Resume/work history documentation
Work Schedule & Time Off
- Candidates may request time off equivalent to 1 week of contracted hours during the assignment
