Job Opportunity: Temporary Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist - RRT)

Job Description

• Perform cardio-pulmonary evaluation, respiratory care, life support, and patient/family/public education.
• Work with inpatients and outpatients of all ages with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies or abnormalities.
• Follow established protocols or physician prescriptions.
• Provide respiratory care duties across all hospital areas.
• Must have experience with EPIC electronic health records system.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC RRT).
• Current New York State Respiratory Therapist License.
• Associate's degree from an accredited Respiratory Care program.
• Certifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
• Critical Care proficiency.
• Labor and Delivery/Neonatal Resuscitation experience required.
• Must have completed training in verbal de-escalation from approved programs (e.g., Welle or CPI) as part of onboarding.
• Must be able to pass a 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
• Permanent address must be provided and verified; candidates from certain New York counties are not eligible for this assignment.
