Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)
Shift: 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (1900-0730)
Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Float within skillset required
Must have triage experience
Must have worked in an ED setting with at least 45,600 visits per year (approx. 125 visits/day) within the past 8 months

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
Experience working in an ED setting with at least 45,600 visits per year (approximately 125 visits per day) within the past 8 months
Prior travel nursing experience
Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by AHA or ARC
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Triage experience required
Experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system

Physical exam annually confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; annual TB questionnaire required
Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
Background check within 90 days including criminal, education verification, and other standard screenings
Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start
Valid driver's license if driving is an essential job function

Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (minimum 80% score) within 3 years of start
Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (Relias Dysrhythmia Basics A) within 1 year of start, updated annually
Color blindness testing (online or in-person)
Other certifications as required by unit description (e.g., NIH Stroke Certification, Trauma Nursing Core Course)

This position is ideal for experienced ED Registered Nurses with prior travel experience seeking a 13-week travel contract in Maryland.
