Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 4x12 hour night shifts, every other weekend
• Must have strong CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) skills
• Will float to IMCU (stepdown unit) if needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Strong CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) skills

Certifications & Competencies

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Certification (annual renewal required)
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Other certifications as applicable to ICU nursing

Background & Health Requirements

• 7-year background check including SS trace and county searches for all locations lived/worked/schooled in last 7 years
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (QGold) within 1 year; chest X-ray within 60 days if applicable
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days before start (marijuana positive not disqualifying)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct-Mar)

References

• Two professional references verified within 2 years of start
• For inpatient RNs (ICU included), one reference must be from the most recent acute care assignment with performance comments
