Job Opportunity: Pain Management Registered Nurse

Location: Rancho Mirage, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, variable 5/8 shifts starting as early as 5:45 AM until the last case finishes (usually around 5:00 PM), flexible with surgeon’s schedule
Patient population: Adults (18 years and older) undergoing interventional pain management procedures
Unit details: Procedural unit with 10-bed pre/post area, 2 procedure rooms focused on interventional pain management
Average daily census: 40 patients
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3
Float may be required between two nearby locations based on skill level
No weekends, no call, no holidays required
High volume: approximately 45 procedures per day, mostly procedural rather than typical outpatient clinic work
Charting system: EPIC (proficiency required)

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
Minimum 2 years of pain management nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
Harassment Prevention Training certification
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
