Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Job Details

  • Shift: Wednesday, Friday, & Saturday
  • Hours: 18:30 - 07:00 (12-hour shifts)
  • Weekend & Holiday: Every weekend and holidays as scheduled are required
  • Floating: Required within specialty and other units within scope
  • On-call: Not required
  • Patient Age Range: Neonates through Geriatrics
  • Equipment Used: Philips 7500, Philips Brilliance 64, Siemens Force

Required Qualifications

  • Licenses/Certifications:

    • ARRT CT (Computed Tomography)
    • ARRT Radiography (R)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • State license for Radiologic Technologist in Maryland
  • Experience:

    • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
    • Years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard for CT Tech roles (typically 1-2 years minimum)
    • No prior travel experience explicitly required

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Background Checks:

    • 7-year criminal history check within 30 days of start, updated annually

    • Physical exam within 1 year of start
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility protocol, updated annually
    • Immunizations: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (positive titer or vaccines required)
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for units working with children)
    • Negative drug screen (9 or 10 panel depending on facility) within 30 days prior to start
    • Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption for 2025-26 season
    • COVID vaccine not required for this location but documentation may be collected for tracking
  • Competency Exams:

    • Medication/Pharmacology competency as applicable
    • Color blind testing required
    • Age-specific competency exam
    • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (if applicable)
  • Other Certifications (as applicable):

    • ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, CHEMO, STABLE, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI (refer to job/unit description for applicability)

Additional Information

  • Uniform/Dress Code:

    • Navy blue scrubs generally; pink scrubs for trauma assignments
    • Pediatric department allows child-friendly tops with navy blue pants
    • Business casual allowed in some departments (no jeans, no open-toe shoes, no sleeveless tops, no shorts)
  • References:

    • Two supervisory references within 1 year of start required
  • Employment History:

    • Verification of previous 5 years of employment required (attestation accepted if necessary)
  • Photo:

    • Passport-style photo with solid white or beige background required for badge
  • Confidentiality Agreement:

    • Must be signed prior to start

This position requires a dedicated CT Technologist able to work nights, weekends, and holidays with flexibility to float within the specialty. Compliance with all licensing, health, and background requirements is mandatory.
