Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred but not required

License Requirements

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Pending licenses are not accepted

Schedule & Other Requirements

• No block scheduling accommodations
• Locals accepted
• Return to Office (RTO) restrictions: maximum 7 days
• Prior travel experience is not required

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID
• Background checks including 7-year history, aliases, and multiple federal/state databases
• Education verification: Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually
• Fit mask test within 1 year (specific mask models required)
• Immunizations and titers (must be current or have valid exemptions):

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • TB test or chest X-ray (negative within 1 year)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved exemption
• Negative 9-panel drug test within 30 days of start
• Skills checklist updated annually for assigned and float units
• Employment verification covering last 7 years
• Two professional references required

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Notes

• COVID-19 and Influenza religious and medical exemption forms are available but require facility approval and must be submitted at least one week prior to documentation due date.
• Orientation modules must be completed prior to start (approximately 2 hours).
• Fingerprinting required only if the candidate’s profession does not require an Illinois state license. Must be completed in Illinois.
