Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Lubbock, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks


Job Details

  • Position floats between units as needed
  • Weekends required every other weekend
  • No on-call required
  • No block schedules required
  • Patient ratios expected: 1:2 or 1:3
  • Neuro ICU experience preferred if available
  • 48-hour shifts approved

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
  • Minimum of 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Experience Requirements

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (ICU)
  • Years of experience: At least 1 year ICU experience within the last year
  • Prior travel experience: Not required (1st timers accepted)

Additional Information

  • Dress code for licensed nursing personnel: solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs (no print tops except in specific pediatric or women’s services units)
  • Free parking available in unrestricted employee/visitor lots
  • Must complete required background checks and verifications including:
    • Background check within 45 days of start (covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
    • Education verification for nursing degree
    • State-specific searches as applicable
  • Required to complete facility and regional mandatory training modules annually via LMS platform
  • May be required to float to other units or facilities within reasonable distance
  • Badge photo required prior to start

Scheduling and Work Conditions

  • Floating between units expected
  • Every other weekend required
  • 48-hour shifts approved

References and Documentation

  • Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
  • Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format for dates
  • Skills checklist required for applicable units, updated annually
