Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Fire Card

Certifications & Competencies

• BLS (AHA only)
• ACLS (AHA only)
• Additional certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP, CHEMO, EFM, STABLE) – verify based on specific unit needs
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (within 1 year prior to start) may be required depending on unit
• Fire Card issued by an approved instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start date (Blue Fire Card only; Red card not accepted)
• Other unit-specific certifications may apply

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Standard background check including 7-year search of locations lived/worked/school
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Education verification (transcript, diploma, or equivalent) required
• Sex offender search required
• Employment application and professional references required
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam clearance within the past year
• Fit testing for approved masks within 12 months prior to start
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (QGold, Tspot, or 2-step PPD)
• Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2-vaccine series required (boosters or declination if low titers)
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer, 3-vaccine series, or declination with proof of prior vaccination or negative titer
• Varicella: Positive titer or 2-vaccine series required (boosters or declination if low titers)
• 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (September - March)
• COVID vaccination and booster documentation or declination

Additional Requirements

• Photo for badge (passport-style) required
• Completion of orientation checklists within first 30 days of assignment
• Completion of facility-specific de-escalation, arbitration, voluntary meal waiver, access request, and assault response competency training as required
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
