Job Opportunity: Medical Surgical LVN / LPN (Travel/Contract)

Job Details

• Specialty: LVN / LPN
• Shift: Nights (48 or 36 hours shifts; indicate preference)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Nursing Ratio: 1:7 (team nursing; additional support from PCC, RN, etc.)
• On-Call: As needed
• Weekend Requirement: As needed (no weekend block schedule, but weekend block may be considered)
• Locals Accepted: No (strict 100-mile radius rule)
• Pending License: Not accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines
• Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Must be included at time of submission

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Valid LPN / LVN license in Tennessee
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Experience working with Level I Trauma patients
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Certifications Required

• IV Certification: Firm requirement
• BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or ARC only
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for Medical Surgical/Tele units
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment, but these are the core for this role

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background check within 60 days of start (statewide, county, federal, education verification)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and annually thereafter
• Education verification (diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu)
• Two recent professional references required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending results accepted)
• Immunizations: Proof of MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, TB test (annual updates required)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• Photo for badge with strict guidelines (passport-style, no glasses, no hats, no filters)

• Team nursing model with support from multiple disciplines
