Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Location: Celina, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• One week on call, one week off call schedule
• Requires 1 year of prior hospital Cath Lab Tech experience
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• ARRT-R or RCIS certification required
• State licensure (TMB-MRT) required if ARRT-R is held (not required for RCIS)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• ARRT-R or RCIS certification

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• I9 or Attestation
• Valid government-issued photo ID (passport acceptable)
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, sex offender, and state police investigations
• E-Verify or Attestation
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months, with annual updates
• Drug screening (10 panel) within 30 days of start
• Immunizations and titers: Hepatitis B, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Tdap, Flu vaccination or approved exemption
• Photo for badge (passport style)
• Completion of facility-specific forms and job description acknowledgment prior to start
• Two professional references within 3 years

Competency Exams & Training

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80% score, two attempts allowed)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (two attempts allowed)
• Pass/Fail testing required for medication and EKG competency
• Annual renewal of certain certifications and exams as applicable

Additional Notes

• Fit testing for masks completed onsite during orientation, updated annually
• Flu vaccination required during flu season unless medically or religiously exempted with approval
• Candidates must comply with all health and safety documentation and credentialing requirements before starting assignment
